Oh Khris that is fantastic about your daughter too!

My girls are both off all reflux meds and weaning off their constipation meds too and being controlled purely with diet and it makes such a difference. We haven't seen our GI Dr in almost 18mths now and he only wants to see us if there are new problems so I'm pretty happy about that and hopefully you will get a similar report card this next visit.

It can be hard work sorting out the diet stuff, but when I see our results and hear about your daughters, it renews my energy in sticking with it.

Well done to you!!!

Thanks everyone.
Angie- dd is doing really well. She is off all meds and symptom free. We're managing it very well with just her diet. I expect not to see the GI regularly if this keeps up.

Thanks for the update Khris - that's a shame that he wasn't able to get off meds, but if there is no swelling that sounds like a positive.

And good that you can combine appt days - always much easier when there's travel involved...

Theresa asked how my son's appointment with the Rheumatologist went, and I wanted to start a separate thread for it.
At his last appointment, she was really pleased with his progress and thought that she might be able to take him off the daily anti-inflammatory meds at this time. He has not been doing as well lately, and he clearly still needs them. In fact, she increased the dosage because he is on such a low dose for his weight and having so much pain still. So, instead of stopping the meds he is increasing the amount. There is still no swelling, so that is good. He goes back in two months, and I was able to get his appointment the same day as my daughter's GI appointment- one trip rather than two is always better.
So, not much news.
