Then choose the colored iPhoto Library icon at the far left of the finder window, toward the bottom (*instead* of going to MyPhotos like you would on a PC). This will bring you to a menu that shows you all of your iPhoto events, albums, etc. and you can browse for your photos from there. </p> <p>If you want to open the picture in another program, copy it to a thumb drive, or something like that - select the photos you want, then go to file&gt;reveal in finder. Does that make sense? There should be an option to export File &gt; Export and then some options will pop up (where to save it, etc.). So while a tech is trying to save my data I took the opportunity to switch to Mac. I've been a PC user for 30 years so this is exciting and new. I'm having fun playing with my new toy.</p> <p>I have a couple of photos I've moved to iPhoto but it looks like I can't upload because of invalid extension name. Can anyone help with this? </p>
