You can touch them and see them and they have excellent prices. </p> <p> Unfortunately, digital cameras don't seem to be forever cameras like the old film workhorses. I'm not sure why. They seem to have a shorter life and they seem very sensitive..? The reason why I chose this camera was because it had fully adjustable manual settings such as shutter speed, white balance and ISO. It was featured in a photography magainze that my sister subscribes to and got an excellent review. It's the Olympus FE-370 and has 8 MP and 5X zoom. It's a point-and-shoot, but with the option of using attachable lenses and so on. I like it, the only thing that annoys me is that it uses regular AA batteries which die after about 200 shots. Buying rechargeable batteries would solve that problem, though. It died pretty much as soon as the 3 month warranty from Amazon.com expired. I've never bought electronics online and now I'm not sure I will again, but I desperately miss having a slim little point-and-shoot camera in my purse with me at all times. I've taken it to camera repair shops but it looks like the cost to fix is going to be as much as, if not more, than what i originally paid for it. =(</p> <p>Do any of you use such cameras (as opposed to digital SLR's, etc?) and if so, could you please, please, please, recommend a brand/model that has worked well for you? </p>
