Every summer we go to the Edinburgh book festival and hear Alexander Mc Call Smith speak. He is adorable and as kind and humble as one of his characters. I have not seen the series but cannot wait. We do not have cable access because of some strange thing about wires in our loft. (If you like them, read his 44 Scotland Street series - wonderfully fun characters!) I don't get HBO but watched the show when I was visiting my parents. It's really well done and the characters/actors are truly enjoyable. I love any movie that takes me to a world I don't know, and I don't know that part of the world at all. I love the colorful fashions, the language is so beautiful to listen to, and the countryside is amazing. They do try to address some of the very real social problems in the story lines, and I think it's a good balance. </p> <p>As far as the leggings look goes, I'm still working on it. I go back and forth. At times I feel I'm too fat and old and carry it off, but other times I still want to pursue it as a warm weather look. </p> <p>I like the sheath very much for the structure, but I'm also looking for one more option that's a bit more casual. I'm debating a jersey-type dress I found - I know that isn't your first choice for me, but I do like the casual element. I don't think it's too much fabric, but I'm not sure yet. I'll post a picture when I've got it figured out. Tragically, it’s absolutely aids infested over there but the locals are so lovely and the sunsets are unprecedented. There is NOTHING that comes close to an African sunset.
