You can get fabric additive and use a regular paint apparently.<br /> My husband painted a chair for a project (in art school) and they didn't have the additive back then and it was too stiff but fun to look at. I have one kind of like it in my living room, only without the wicker-like sides, that is in desperate need of a slipcover or something. I actually bought this chair to re-sell, even though I've been wanting a chair like this for years. When hubby decided to move the chair that had been in this spot out to the living room, and moved this one into it's place so he'd have somewhere to sit and out his shoes on- I wasn't going to complain! It looked pretty rough when I found it- dusty, scratched and stained cushions. A good vacuuming, an application of scratch coat, and a gentle cleaning with dishsoap, and it looks great! Maybe some day in the future I will have it re-done, but for now I am happy to add this little beauty to my sanctuary. </p>
