I had cats when he and Jamie first moved in with me, so he's always been pretty chilled out with them. He just had his first encounter with a cat in quite a few years as recently as two weeks ago, when my stepson's roommates brought over a kitten they were fostering. He was wonderful with the kitten! So Rocky is having fun with Virgo and reuniting with my cats Cleo and Worf. :-)</p> <p>VC, Rocky is definitely on the beach with Beatrice -- he used to jump over our fence at our old house to go down the street to the beach. I'd find him down there, with a bunch of kids in the water, wagging his tail sheepishly at me when he realized he'd been caught. </p> <p>You often don't realize how much their presence permeates your life until they're gone. Every time we leave the house, we would tell him, "OK, Rocky, we're going out now, guard the house," and sure enough, when we return home, we see that face and those intense eyes gazing watchfully out the window next to the front door! </p> <p>Pets are wonderful. The pain of losing them is awful, but all the love they give makes it totally worthwhile. </p> <p>Thanks again for all your sympathies! I know so many of you can relate to what we're going through. </p>
