The tunic is lovely on you Elle but I can see that it would be a difficult piece to style. I've discovered that having to layer a cami underneath a top intended to wear in hot weather just doesn't work for me. Now I have TWO layers on instead of one. That's why I'm really disliking all the sheer tops that are out there right now.

I think this would look fabulous as a cover up though.

Nicole if i wore it as a dress with a loose slip it would me much cooler. I don't own a slip so I need to decide if it is worth it. I'm not sure it even looks that great.

Sheer, sleeveless, spaghetti straps, not adapted to any weather on our planer: in short, a recipe for a headache. I wouldn't bother trying to style it and would use it as a nightie. You will find plenty other tops that won't give you that sort of trouble.

Like CocoLion, and many others, I'm sick of sheer everything. I bought a lot of fabric when traveling in Kerala 2 years ago and this sort of "chiffon" was 50 cents a yard RETAIL. Bizarrely, a chiffon blouse is selling for about the same price as a cotton one. Manufacturers are trying to pass chiffon for a trend: in fact they are just making clothes with the cheapest fabric they can find.

I like that tunic, but I see that it can be difficult to wear. I think it would look good with a short denim waistcoat (or short jacket).

I completely understand why it is flummoxing you. And that is frustrating, because it's a nice-looking piece and looks good on you, in theory! But if you can't wear it without a layer underneath, it's sort of useless.

I do quite like the idea of using it as a cover up or else as a summer loungewear item. But if even that feels annoying, then I would pass it along.

I like it a lot in #1 but not with the jacket, it's too busy with all of the layers and buttons and different lengths and prints.

I think it works great as in #1 but understand the temperature challenges. I am so sick of all of the "summer" tops that require a cami. It is really a challenge if you live in a hot climate like I do and spend most of your time in un-airconditioned environments. These "summer" tops can be either sheer or have exaggerated armholes. I feel manufacturers keep pushing this style (and also batwing/dolman type tops) because they are cheaper/easier to manufacture.

I think you are on to something using it as a cover up. I can see that it is very sheer and with the spaghetti straps, a real challenge to wear. Too hot with a layer, too sheer without. Not meant to wear with a layer underneath like a long sleeve tee. Too dark for a summery item. Too light weight for a winter item. I'd be stumped too! I think what you are wearing looks fine with it, and it looks nice on you. However, personally I would pass it along because it doesn't have the versatility I would want to make room for it in my closet. Or I'd wear it as a beach cover up or as a summer nightie. That's all I got.

This sheer animal print tunic was given to me in Australia. It hasn't really been warm enough to wear here but I didn't wear it there either. It needs a cami underneath so that makes it hotter to wear but being sleevless it isn't really hot weather clothing. I don't love it with the jacket & haven't thought of a better way to wear it. All weather/temparature issues aside, even though I like the piece it doesn't look fab on me. At least that is what I think & I can't pinpoint why. Do you love it or have any suggestions on how to wear it or should it be a swimsuit cover up? Thanks.
