I'm in a similiar place to Dani. And I would also add that until very recently, the style options for organic clothes were so disappointing. Why did everyone assume that people who care about that stuff all want to wear baggy yoga pants everywhere? Sheesh! I did by some Loomstate jeans that I like a lot. (Full disclore, they're wide leg. At some point, when I figure out the camera situation, I hope to be able to post - though I'm a bit afraid.)

Ultimately, if the final analysis is about going green, I second Dani's about consignment shopping. It avoids creating new stuff and (in many cases) the greenhouse gas concerns that come up around shipping.

Nancy, I try to do that more for my kids clothes than my own.

I'm torn about the whole organic sustainable thing. I feel that it's important for the environment to be conscious of how we're treating the earth with our manufacturing processes and spraying of chemicals but I kind of feel like the organic clothing is over-hyped a little. Cotton is one product that requires a lot of chemical treatment in the field so I have my moral dilemmas internally when I buy new clothes. I just try to buy from brands that claim to be responsible and try to reduce my footprint in other areas as best I can. I'm also going to try to look in consignment stores for more items as I have more flexibility to shop. I count that as recycling

I guess this could be a poll...does anyone try and seek out organic clothing or clothing made from various eco-fabrics? I know they all don't carry the greatest styles and usually just have a wide variety of t-shirts...but if so, where do you look?
