The forecast changed at the last minute so I had to hobble together some gear. Athleta hiking pants, Sweatty Betty running jacket with a shell jacket (from work.) I lucked out and found a pair of hiking sneakers at the Columbia store which were terrific. She had four days off so spent a day in Portland and then hit then Columbia employee store, hiking at Silver Falls State Park, Tillamook/Coast/Cannon beach, and then a day tooling around her new town/Costco/picking up a few more things for her apt. Oregon is fantastic and so pretty. Had a rainy hike but got an early start and avoided the heavy rain and crowds. Extraordinary falls and nice trails—it was awesome! My favorite part of the trip. Looking forward to another visit. </p>
