				<description>&#060;p&#062;Suz has the right of it.&#038;nbsp; There is a preferred broker involved who guarantees the price in CAD at order time, and handles the customs.&#038;nbsp; I ordered Thursday night (US Thanksgiving).&#038;nbsp; Makes sense that things might be a little slow.&#038;nbsp; If nothing by Monday, I'll follow-up.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;For the curious - the ball skirt I had been stalking became available in my size!&#038;nbsp; Ordered from Adrian Pappell, who uses Borderfree as their broker.&#060;/p&#062;

This week, got day-before and day-of UPS notifications for packages due (Nordstrom, Eileen Fisher, Amazon -- I have Prime there). Then UPS started sending out revisions -- weather and ground conditions including the fires in Tennessee are delaying shipping, and they are rescheduling deliveries.

I chalk it up to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday backup. I am a frequent online orderer, and do not always encounter this problem. My usual experience is that items ship within 1-3 business days. You would be smart to check if you do not see some movement in the next day or two.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;It often is, Carla -- (I mean it often is super fast) but it does depend on the retailer and where stuff is coming from. Ordering online from LL Bean, Land's End is just as fast as catalogue shopping via phone. Ordering online from places that ship within Canada (like BR and Zara) can also be super fast. (My Zara stuff sometimes *arrives* the day after I order!) Orders from the Bay can be super fast...or endlessly slow.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;And when it comes to places that ship from the US -- J. Crew usually arrives within 10 days. &#038;nbsp;Nordstrom's can take up to 2 weeks if you are ordering direct from the US. --- something I have rarely done. Amazon orders, ditto. I've never ordered from Shopbop or similar but I think they are a bit quicker as a rule.&#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;It's slow, but likely due to backups of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Some companies are slow, some are quick, and I would personally wait a couple more days before following up with the company in question. If you order more frequently, you can determine who has quick and who has slow shipping. One other note, those with free shipping often seem the slowest, since they are picking the least expensive way to ship.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;ETA - some companies send out two emails instead of three. One to confirm order was received, one to confirm order was shipped.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I'm new to online shopping, and confused about the process.  I've received an e-mail confirming receipt of my purchase, then a few hours later, confirmation the my order was processed. The confirmation notice indicated that I would be advised when the order was shipped, and I wouldn't be billed until the order was shipped.  That was a week ago.  I haven't received confirmation that the order has shipped yet.  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I am ordering from the US and having the garment shipped to Canada.  Does this sound right?&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Update: home from work and checked the e-mail.  Order shipped today (Monday 5Dec.). I even have a tracking number so that I can follow the progress of the parcel as it travels.  Thanks for holding my hand on this!
