That pointelle sweater looks fab, Ginger--yay!

Also the Land's End set--super outfit. And the Zella cami!

Bravo for sticking to only things that fit. It makes such a difference in how an outfit looks and feels. And your existing wrap-front top is really great. It shows just how much better a little white pointelle tee can be!

It's work to compare sizes but so worth it. As Angie said, now you know. :)

13-16 are my favorite. The white pullover is lovely on you and looks just as good with the corduroys (which are perfection for fall!) as with the skirt. A great find!

I also really like the matching loungewear set, it makes my matchy matchy gene happy! :)

Pic 3, the white tee, is lovely. I see what you mean with the rest of the stuff. I am also an hourglass, and it can be deceptively difficult to find stuff, even when you use the size guide online. I just bought some shelf-bra crop camis like your cami there, and it also rides up. Luckily it is already cropped, and they are mostly for around the house.

Running through the second set of photos, they all look great! Seems like a successful sale for you.

My replacement orders have arrived, so I did a better try on session last night. The sun was setting, but I tried to take some representative pictures in natural light as well as bathroom light.

1. Halogen ribbed top. The larger size felt both looser and tighter, in an uncomfortable way. It's really too long/tight for my hips still, and there's some odd riding up/pulling around the bust and underarm that gives lots of wrinkles. The armhole feels too big, so it strains when I move my arm. I tried on the smaller one again for comparison (pic 4); it has the same fit issues. Less uncomfortable overall, because it's tight everywhere! Both are going back.

2. Madewell pointelle tee. In the larger size, it felt off. The bust line is both straining and makes my bust look saggy and pointy from the side! Sleeves are slightly better length, but the left shoulder is trying to fall off. Maybe still a tight sleeve (like how tight calves pull jeans down), but maybe just because I don't have enough shoulder to hold it up! I tried the smaller size again (pics 9-11) and while overall the fit is better, except for sleeve length, the shoulder is still pulling. For $45, I can do better or get something else entirely.

And for comparison, I already have a long sleeve white pointelle top that happens to have a wrap design (pic 12). It's even shorter but I do like it a lot, especially with skirts. And did not cost $45.

3. Now for the first win: the Madewell sweater. For comparison, pictures 13-14 are in natural light, and 15-16 in electric light. This time a size up felt terrific. Per Lisa's suggestion, I deliberately tried with wide-leg corduroys. The fit and length of the sweater is just right, skimming over the pear-shape sudden transition. It still feels pretty comfortable too. A little "crisp" for a mostly-cotton sweater, but not itchy at all. I also tried with one of my skirts in a similar color. The sweater is too long for my usual preference in this, since I prefer a more defined waist, but may be worth trying again later.

Bonus win: Lands' End dark toffee corduroy wide-leg pants. I got these in dusty warm pink last fall and wore them occasionally. Suddenly realized I actually wanted toffee-color pants and remembered this colorway. The pink ones in Tall were strangely WAY too long! I pinned up the entire hem into a cuff. (Someday I may tack it permanently...) So I took a chance with regular length on these and I think it's livable. I'm super sensitive to pants feeling too short but these do feel good. I'm still on the lookout for a lighter, slightly warmer denim pair, though! Either wide legs or bootcuts.

4. Surprise win: the Zella camisole. The one I tried before didn't work at all, being so snug on the midsection it roll/scrunched all the way up with practically no movement at all. I reordered TWO sizes up and - I actually like it! It's now loose and not at all supportive, but the riding up looks more like intentional ruching. I really like the straps still, and the higher neckline above the sports bra.

My only concern is that the neckline gapes away a bit. Since I mostly use summer gear for hard work in the yard, it's nice to have a close fit to keep bugs and dirt and grass out of there! But the in-between size isn't in stock right now, and may not fit as gracefully on the waist/hip. I will keep an eye out and may re-order if it comes back before the sale ends. But for now, I'm keeping this one.

5. Bonus: Lands' End bootcut leggings in dusty rose clay to match the jacket. I hadn't ordered these before, since they were not offered in Talls. What gives?! LE is usually really good about that. But some of the reviews said they were a little long, so I took a chance. They look just fine; by feel, I would prefer another 1/2", but it's close enough. Especially since this is loungewear and I'm extremely unlikely to wear them in public. It's mostly about feeling cute at home! The first two pics are natural light and the third in electric; it really makes a difference to this color.

You're very kind, bella. I honestly can't imagine a place where I would wear it this far open, but I appreciate your words!

Lisa, I love your detailed feedback!

1- Oddly enough, this is the first year I've ordered this style of top, though I've gotten other Halogen tee shirts in previous years. The multi-directional ribbing is pretty interesting. I don't have light khaki pants like the shorts, but you're right that they go well.

2 - Yep, you get it. I already have one white wrap front top that's pretty low, and I feel funny about wearing it in some places. Plus this one feels like swim material.

3 - Not supposed to be bracelet length. I usually hate that feeling, but I'll give it another shot in two sizes and see. I really like the shape and material.

4 - Hmm, that's a thought. Though I'm SO pear-shaped that it's hard to get a volume difference that looks intentional. I hope that makes sense. I do have some pink corduroy wide-leg pants I could try with.

5 - No, it's nylon and spandex, though quite soft. Mostly it's just my shape, with "sudden hips," and things don't like being stretched out. I'd really prefer a slim-fit cotton tank that is shorter and with curved side seams. Rather hard to find!

6 - thank you! I just got the matching flared leggings, though they are regular length and not tall. Weirdly they didn't offer talls in this model. The feedback is that they run long, so here's hoping.

Sharan, I'm looking forward to the sweater in a size up. I objectively like this piece the most, so I want to make it work. The burnt sienna top is coming, too. Thanks for the encouragement! And very good point about the wrap top. Usually I can tell pretty quickly if it's acceptable or if a little safety pin will make it nice without much pulling. This one felt fully open!

Thank you for all the comments!

Sal, the pointelle felt small, mostly in the sleeve length, and/or shoulder. But I'm being won over to how it looks! I think the only cami I've had that didn't ride up was a woven non-stretch one that came with a semisheer blouse.

Aww thanks, Jenni! Usually I try to at least put jeans on for more realistic styling, but I had shorts on all day and it was pretty late, so I had low patience for fussing. I do like shorts a lot. They're comfortable and cool.

Cookie, you made me laugh! The wrap top picture doesn't show how fully open it was - the center gaped away and my plunge bra was clearly visible. I can't imagine where I'd wear it, but I do have some other wrap front tops that I like as well. I'll try to take some pictures with that.

Thanks, Angie! My other big concern with #2 is that it's 90% polyester and frankly feels like a rashguard. It's just not really what I had in mind. I do like how #1 looks; I just don't like the tension lines between the breasts! And the shoulder is a little small, so I want to see how a size up will look.
I ordered another size in #3. The neckline itself is pretty wide, but it seemed to sit ok with my straps. The short sleeve length was more distracting. I'm trying another size in it as well and hope to do a more thorough comparison.
Good call on #4. I hadn't quite noticed how the neckline looks slightly more mock than crew.

The Madewell pointelle sweater is really pretty on you. Nice length in this size. It will be good to compare sizes.

I love the burnt sienna and red jelly colors on you.

1 - This rust color is lovely on you and pairs well with cream shorts. Too bad the fit is off, I hope the size up works for you. I order these tops every year and picked up the rust, white, and navy this time. I enjoy layering them under jackets, blazers, sweaters, and cardigans, so the form fit works well for that.

2 - The wrap top is a great style on you. But if you are uncomfortable then back it goes. I've never had something that felt "off" to me work out. It always ended up a wardrobe orphan.

3 - This is a cute shirt! It looks great with blue denim. Is it supposed to be a bracelet sleeve? If so, you can show off some fun bracelets on your wrist with this top. I hope the size up works for you, it is a lovely style on you.

4 - I saw this in store and it looks so good on you versus on the hanger. I thought this top (since it's cropped and form fitting) would be lovely paired with a looser bottom like a wide leg pant/jean, or boyfriend jeans. Something with volume and a higher waist.

5 - I haven't seen this cami in person, but I wonder if the material is modal? Or something sort of slinky? Those types of cami's always roll up on me. I only wear cotton tanks because it's the only style that stays tucked in place for me. I was curious how these Zella tanks fit, thanks for sharing!

6 - The Lands end jacket is pretty color.

I've had both big and small NAS's over the years, you just never know what the sale will bring! I hope you enjoy your final selections!

I'm with Cookie! I get you feel exposed in #1 and #2 (form fitting tops), yet they look KILLER in this size :)

Hope the Madewell sweater in #4 works a size up! That one I do find small. Especially with the high neckline.

The deep scoop tee in #3 might annoy you as you move around. Fall off your shoulders. Test it at home! It looks pretty in the pic.

Maybe I’m a floozy but I like the fit of these tops as is! I understand feeling overexposed in the wrap top but it LOOKS great.
Camisoles, yeah. If you’re wearing it tucked in or as an under layer you can tuck it into your underwear to stop it doing that, but not if you want to wear it as here. Again, it LOOKS good.

Oh your expression in pic 2 is so funny!
I really like the top in pic 4.
And your shorts are very nice. We usually see you in long skirts or dresses. Good legs!

Love the jacket! And I like the pointelle in 3 as well - really pretty and practical. Size looks okay but you could try a size up too.

Camis that ride up - I get that too! It is annoying indeed.

This is the first year that practically my entire wishlist has NOT sold out before I could shop. The only thing I was unable to order was the caped cardigan.

I ordered 5 items:

Halogen Raglan Sleeve Top in Burnt Henna (not sienna!)
Halogen Wrap Top
Madewell Pointelle T-Shirt
Madewell Cotton Crewneck Pointelle Sweater
Zella Strappy Camisole in Red Jelly

The package was delivered well into the evening, after a long, sweaty day, so pictures are in yellow electric light and very much unstyled.

1. The Halogen burnt henna top was too small. In the past I've sized way down in this brand, but this one was definitely fitted. I've reordered a size up to see how I like it in a better fit. Overall, it felt nice but didn't wow me. I have lots of good fitted long sleeve tees so I'm not sure this one is a keeper yet.

2. The Halogen wrap top was similarly too small, but also had way too little coverage. Even sizing up two sizes will not be enough to make me comfortable with this.

3. The Madewell pointelle t-shirt I'm not sure about. It's shorter than I expected; I like the shirttail hem with jeans, but not sure about this length. Again, this particular size was too small. The sleeves were also too short, which is unusual for me. But I love the material and I do like the neckline. I haven't reordered yet but I'm still considering.

4. I did like the Madewell pointelle sweater a lot, though the picture's not very flattering. Again, I want to size up. (I really missed my size guesses this year.) But it doesn't feel crazy small like the Halogen pieces. I've ordered a size up and need to do a try on with a skirt. It may be in the area where it's too long for a skirt (untucked) and too short for jeans.

5. Unexpectedly, the Zella camisole is a no-go. At first when opening the box, I thought there had been a mistake and they'd sent me two Burnt Henna tops. The colors are THAT close. Side by side, the "Red Jelly" color is very slightly more pink and a little lighter, but that's it. Not at all the warm dusty pink it looks online, it's more a brownish burgundy. I did give it a shot with my new Lands' End pink jacket (last Find) to see if they pair well, since I love light/dark tonal outfits. It's okay, but not amazing.

But the biggest problem is Picture 7 - after walking around the house a few minutes, it rolled and slide all the way up to my high waist. THIS is why I'm very leery of camisoles! Picture 8 shows me tugging it back down. But it hasn't a prayer of staying, even if I size up 3 sizes and wear a separate bra.

It's a cute top and I still wish it worked. And I'm glad I tried it. The Lands' End jacket (and hopefully the pants I ordered) are the exact right pink ("Dark Rose Clay"), so I'm also glad I got to choose.

This may be a small NAS for me, but I'm okay with that! I've really got a pretty good wardrobe already. I'm debating a couple of bras right now and the Madewell t-shirt, and still sort of stalking the caped cardigan, but I'm not terribly confident it will work for me anyway.
