I like the Gema but I'm not keen on the other two pairs, especially given your high style standards!

I'm late to the party, but I'm just repeating what everyone else said anyway. The first ones are fine, but I don't feel any real love for them. Second and third are much nicer to my eye.

If it makes you feel better, I've had shoes in that color and finish, and they really didn't wear well for me at all. Scuffed right away. The scuffs showed horribly and there was nothing I could do to get rid of them so they always looked beat up. After just a few wearings they were relegated to "farm shoes" category.

Thanks, ladies! My girlfriend at work concluded the same thing. (-:

Denise, I like those too but would prefer something that wasn't all black.

I may have order them an use some of my NAS money...or wait and hope Nordies gets them in stock soon so I can get my employee discount! (-:

Another vote for the Gema's. Not at all frumpy. I think the second pair could actually get frump. The first are very casual, but also not frumpy.

I vote no on the first pair. You have to work extra hard to de-frumpify an outfit with shoes like those, although by no means are they as bad as Keens. The second two pair are comfortable looking and not frumpy. Especially the last ones with the little platforms.

I do confess to wearing frumpy clogs at work (and I know Anna also wears Sanitas for work), but that's it. Unfortunately I think shoes can pull down an otherwise great outfit. Which is something I suffer through at work (white shirt, dark pants, clogs, apron. 5-6 days a week.)

I'm not sure of your style, but do like the Gema. Today I was looking at Naots and wondered about these for fall: http://www.zappos.com/naot-footwear-advance
Do you like them for yourself?

Scarlet makes a good point about sometimes we just need to do our feet a favor.
A month ago, I developed a case of painful heel bursitis, and I'm on a hunt for some comfort, yet stylish shoes for errands. I have two pairs of Naot sandals, and they cradle my foot with comfort, and get lots of compliments on them too.

I like the Gema, but the other ones not as much.

ETA: that being said, you do sometimes just have to do your feet a favor. In my case the favor is my Dansko boots or my Clark's loafer/shootie. Well the latter is defunct now, but I have bought essentially the same shoe from them over and over with small style updates because it was a comfortable, versatile, reasonable heel.

I like the second and third options. Not crazy about the first one - something about the combo of the plain front, the color, the black sole/brown top combo, and the material is reading a little too rugged/sporty to me.

I love Naot boots and sandals for my fussy feet and I am up to 6 pairs now, 7 if you count the dead, garden-only sandals. Unfortunately I find the heel cup too deep in the non-boot closed styles, even with my orthotics inside.

April, good point. The thing about that first pair is that the color is really nice. Hm. Maybe I will have to think about what I'd wear them with.

I love my Naot sneakers and my poor feet are craving support these days. Zappos has some new Naot booties in stock. I am especially wondering about the first pair. Are they too frumpy? The color would work very well in my wardrobe, but I am worried they'll look like those awful shoes that men sometimes where casually with the goring at the edges...The other two pair I am less worried about.
