Having said that, as a fellow pale skinned, muscular-calfed (is that a word?) girl, I have just purchased my first pair of metallic sandals and I am LOVING them as a neutral. Mine are more flat, and pewter toned, and I am surprised at how versatile they are and how nice they look against the skin. Also, they have a higher vamp than I might ideally like, and I find it is not bothering me in this tone as much as it would in a darker shoe.
