I would try them and see about the ankle fit if you want to wear them with dresses. In my experience the elastic gored ones can often be extremely good and surprisingly versatile. I don't have the same issue with suede that Caro has. Some of my favorite winter booties to wear with dresses are suede (usually worn with tights). My only question on these is the fit around the ankle. These look like they could be a little wide and potentially have that "flower pot" look with dresses. I like mine fairly close fitting at the ankle. I LOVE the black and see the blue as as a nice alternative, particularly for day wear and office wear.
