However, I am skeptical, given what you've told us here. Two things first: the fact that you are asking about it here, and you say you're not sure about the effect of the black and white design, make me think it's not "the" jacket for you. I think you might be more definitely in love with it if it were.<br />Also: If you wear a lot of black and white, you might want a plain black jacket rather than this one, which has the potential for presenting you with mixed whites in an outfit. (Which may look fine, or it may be something you'd be continually trying to negotiate, rather than just being able to throw the jacket on with a multitude of your outfits.) And if you like to wear clothes with a hard edge, I don't quite see this jacket as a hard edged one. I think one with more of a tough moto vibe--e.g., tougher hardware, buckles at the sleeves, not trimmed in white, etc.--would be more in keeping with a hard-edged style. All of this is based on what you've said here, though; I don't have a feel for your style otherwise. I like it in principal, and it's something I know I would want to try on if I saw it in store. I don't love that type of collar on leather jackets as it creates an association for me that makes the jacket look dated. I tend toward hard edge and I wear a lot of black and white. I tried this jacket on, and while I don't have a picture of myself in it, I am wondering what the general opinion about it is. Does the contrast lapel (which are slightly distressed and not a bright white) add to the jacket or make it... I'm not sure. Kitchy? Silly? I normally have a pretty solid opinion about the things I try on, and this jacket fits well and looks great as far as fit goes. I just cannot decide if the colour scheme is a good thing or not, rather like I sometimes cannot tell whether a floral is fun or "grandmother's couch".</p> <p>The jacket is also at an AMAZING sale price, and I don't want to have sale goggles (though I did like it better than any of the full price jackets in the store). So would you vote yay or nay for me? If you do or don't like it, feel free to say why. I have not purchased it yet, so you will not hurt my feelings!</p>
