I think those old chairs Zap mentioned with the nailheads are a great analogy here: I really like them, but I have to be careful not to fill my home with vintage, sentimental items, &amp; I have the same temptation with my wardrobe. I think you are like me in terms of color schemes and color tastes, and I never wear dark brown shoes. Although I suppose brown is more steampunk. I just consigned my brown Frye Rorys (talk about GUILT!) because I simply could not get them on my feet without sweating so much I had to change afterward. I could wear them barefoot, but of course that really limited their use, even after having them stretched at the cobbler. </p> <p>I know Danskos are not universally loved but they do work for me.
