I'd be OK a little shorter than it is, but since I'm happy with the current length, I don't think I'd bother with the expense of an alteration.</p> <p>Shana -- Taking in the waist would be another option, but I don't believe there are any tailors here I would trust with that kind of work.</p> <p>Dani and Kari -- Thanks for the mention of the AT skirt. This one was more attractive to me since it was on sale and I had some reward cards! I got it for about 50% off.</p> <p>Joy -- I felt the same way about the extra fabric at the waist, but if I wear belted tops (at my natural waist) over the skirt, I think it'll be OK. Glad to hear the skirt didn't ride up.</p> <p>Thanks for the compliments on the shoes. They're Naturalizer, purchased last summer, and I've gotten lots of wear out of them with skirts.</p> <p>Angie -- I still try to read as many threads as I can, but I just don't have as much time to comment right now. You're trying it on with a very form-fitting top tucked into it, and I'm guessing you wouldn't wear that style of top underneath it without extra layers anyway.</p> <p>Anyway, I think it's cute on you, but if you are uncomfortable with it riding low, I'd also endorse the AT skirt that Dani mentioned. It sits a bit higher on the waist than the BR skirt (at least, on my body) but not quite up to the natural waist. I ordered a denim skirt from BR. I like the wash, the detailing, and the length, but I'd like your input. I usually wear my skirts as high-waisted skirts on the natural waist (as Angie has described), but this one fits better if I pull it down just a bit. It has enough stretch that this is quite comfortable. Does anyone have this skirt? Will it stay down all day? (It did for a few minutes walking around the house.) Also, I wonder about the side view. Pulled down, the skirt hits at an awkward spot that makes it look like I have a worse belly bulge than I actually do. In real life, I'd be wearing the skirt with tops that would cover that spot enough to camouflage it, I think.
