And since you bring it up- why do they DO that?? (pin garments on models to give them a more flattering shape). The fabric is a thick knit which puffed out in the front and on the sides. It went over my chest in the front, and instead of hanging straight down or coming in a little, it actually went out, so from the side it looked like a tent, and not in a purposeful, voluminous sort of way. Make sense? Also, the sleeves weren't fitted at all, they were sort of loose as well, like bracelet sleeves. And they were long on me. I think this jacket would be most flattering on someone who has a very small chest and long arms. </p> <p>Since all the sale items on the J. Crew site are non-returnable at this point, I'd either take a pass or see if you could try it on in person somehow. Voluminous silhouettes are tricky in that you really need to try them on and see which ones will work for you, because not all of them work on every body type. Is there more than one J.
