Yes I think button moving is an easy thing too- though maybe not quite as tight as you put.

Thanks, Jenni: I often do that, but with the gathering at the sleeve, it wasn't a good solution in this case!

Hi notsaf I have the same issue because of short arms, and have often moved buttons. However, if you don’t want to be bothered, you could try just turning the cuff up only once, with it buttoned, and just wear it like that. I have done that several times as well and it can look good.

Angie: Thanks! Glad this method is tried and tested. I'd never thought of it before.

Yes - do move the buttons on the cuff. Easy fix.
Good stay at home formula - cozy for the win.

I’m in painting mode again, but after tailoring the jeans, I figured I didn’t want to chance ruining them. Wore the same old green t-shirt, and my ‘older’ pair of white jeans. We are painting the office BM ‘Hale Navy’ - and I didn’t get a speck of paint on my clothes! LOL!

Below are the ‘before’ photos - so you can understand why we are painting this room!

The verdict is in: this seems like a safe thing to try!

Jules: Ballet flats are just like very refined slippers, right? I love them too: glad yours gave you a boost!

Slim Cat: I think it must be the case that my arms are relatively short, which is why I find cuff too big. Had never thought about the other direction! Thanks for the compliment on the ring, which is a treasure that I love wearing even in these at-home days.

Lisa P: Thanks (and hi!) — I’m quite a few hours ahead here in the UK fwiw. :)

Carol: What good advice, I never would have thought of that. How did you know about my two favorite drinks? :)

Janet: That gives me confidence, thanks! Meanwhile, your cabinet looks fab!

Kelly: Thank you! I always love your WIW’s so really appreciate the compliment.

Rachy: Will do, and thanks!

You look great. I’m in an embarrassing state, cleaning out the kitchen under-sink cabinet and scrubbing the bathrooms. I do not have Angie’s magical powers so I’m in distressed jeans and a tee shirt that won’t care if I get bleach on it. LOL

Very cute at home outfit! My only advice on moving the button is to test it by pinning first and see how it feels when you extend your arms. You want enough looseness at the cuff that you can still reach in front of you for your wine glass/coffee cup without your top binding. Otherwise, it seems like a good solution to try. Worst case scenario - you find you have to move it back to the original spot.

Anyways , lovely blouse and i have the same issue with buttoned cuffs. Easy fix though . And now I wish I had a pair of ballet flats !

I've never tried moving a button on the sleeves since my arms are a bit longer than standard but I see no problem in doing so.
Your blouse does look like it could benefit from those changes - plus your pretty hands will be more visible ( nice ring btw ).
I like your cardigan outfit - elevated casual.

I‘m casual/loungewear at heart, but did put on my ballet flats briefly for a ‘fancy’ family dinner at home last weekend, and instantly felt perkier!

Here's a quick pic of what I'm wearing around the house today: easy and comfortable, with *aspirational* shoes, as I'm actually wearing the fuzzy slide slippers you can see in #2-3 on the floor behind me. Very happy to have a few extra tees and to have nabbed this All Saints cardigan in the sale: an easy piece that I'm enjoying as part of Level 2 at-home style.

But what I really wanted to ask you all is a question about cuffs! I find that buttoned cuffs are often too wide in diameter for me, meaning that they fall a little low over my hand. I often roll cuffs up because of this, and because I like a 3/4-length sleeve, but that's not always best for the look of the shirt. Case in point: a new cotton voile top with nicely shaped sleeves. Pic #2 shows it as-is and #3 as it might look if I made the opening smaller.

This seems like a really trivial change -- just moving a button! -- and one that I'm up to try. Is there anything I should keep in mind even for this minor alteration? Not an expert sewer here, so any help would... help. Thanks in advance!
