There's a time warp factor for sure, especially for the heavily worn items. I just retired a pair of jeans (ripped beyond repair on a recent walk)&nbsp; thinking they were "new" but then I realized they're actually four years old. My gear and PJs also saw much higher wear than usual in the past two years and wore correspondingly faster, whereas jackets and dressier booties got next to no wear and now that I've hauled them out for work, I keep scratching my head and saying, wait, really, you are <b>SEVEN</b> years old? There are certain items I feel two contradictory things about: 1). I'm sick of looking at you, and 2). but I've hardly worn you!!&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Sal,</b> that is a great point about statements being easier to buy in person. I do tend to buy them on consignment (or did, in Vancouver). Having said that, I got the great Kate Hewko skirt on line and that counts as a statement for sure!&nbsp;</p> <p>LOL, <b>Jenni</b> -- red's a neutral! In all seriousness, I don't have high hopes for that coat. I haven't done a big batch order, but I have noticed that the basics and essentials sections of my closet seem to be in constant need of updating. For one thing, I've spent substantially more time outdoors in 2020-2021 than in 2018-2019, which has meant heavy wear for gear and casual, much less for anything office-y (or classroom-y). I really need to look for/make opportunities to wear anything that isn't suitable for tromping. The other factor, in my mind, is that the pandemic is a bit of a time warp. Things that I bought in early 2020 still feel new because I feel like nobody's seen them but me. I was looking at some loungewear and sneakers that are on their way out, thinking, "Already?!" and then realized I've been wearing them for the better part of two years.&nbsp;</p> <p>All of these potential additions look perfect for you and your current lifestyle.
