I use the butterfly hanger from BB&B. It's small but durable, doesn't cause snags, and fits lots of scarves or shawls of varying sizes.

I use an over-the-door towel rail, like this: http://www.ziggiziggi.com/geti.....ize=medium

All the scarves just get looped over the bar, in no particular order. I pull the bottom part away from the door and shake it a bit so that the long scarves hang straight down behind the rail in front of it, rather than getting bunched up. I keep my belts here, too.

Oh dear... sorry for you loss * solemn bow of head* my thoughts are with you...
I have a load of hooks screwed into the side wall off my wardrobe just at the end where I start to slide the door back so they are always visible. I've never seen storage like yours. Hope you can find something similar.

I'd like a moment of silence for an important member of my "family". I lost one of my favorite items. While putting away a few things, I lost...

A scarf hanger.

I purchased it at The Container Store and it quickly became a special addition to my closet. It had the capacity for 28 scarves, which I was quickly nearing with my collection of 25. I guess it was all just too much for the hanger. It just... snapped.

As you can see in the first photo, it was probably a little overloaded. I just put too much stress on that poor hanger. You can see in the second photo what it looked like "undressed"

Good friend, you will surely be missed.

So... Does anyone have any good scarf storage recommendations? I used to keep them folded in a box, but it was too much work to get them out and put them away. So they never got worn. This hanger was a great solution because it kept everything right at my fingertips. Right now everything is just on a bunch of different regular clothes hangers, but it doesn't quite work for me. I haven't been able to find another, more durable version of this hanger, so I'm one sad girl right now.

What are your storage solutions for scarves?
