He's working hard on diet and exercise to lose weight and get in better shape without having to take drugs. He goes back to see his new doctor in a couple of weeks. His test numbers put him close to, but not into the diabetic range. (Can't remember the name of the test--something other than glucose.) He hasn't been feeling right for about 6 months, but in the last few weeks he's come back to his old energetic self.&nbsp;</p> <p>Good idea about a diabetic support group. Yours fit so well. Good luck to your DH. Was he put on any drugs yet? This is a time for him to do lots of testing to see what certain foods and meals do to his blood glucose. Each person is different.<br /> I highly recommend joining a diabetic support group if you can find one. Hospitals often have them. Go to the nutritionist and educator for more information. Joe's Jeans generally fit me the best, so I got a pair of the Charlie high rise. Advised they run large, so I got a 28, and they fit!&nbsp;</p> <p>Then last week I was near a Nordstrom Rack and went in to look for some sale sunglasses. Found some, then wandered around the store, which has been changed around since I was last there. Finally found the designer jeans and there was another pair of Joe's, similar but not exactly the same, so got them for $56. Got 28 but didn't try them on until I got home. (Tired--I don't have the old stamina for shopping lately.)</p> <p>While I really like Paige jeans, Joe's seem to fit me better. Between Nordy's and Last Call, I've never paid full price for a pair.&nbsp;</p> <p>The second pair fits as well. After 2 years of gaining weight on the belly, this year I've managed to lose 1/2 to 3/4". Belly much more important than scale, but I'm determined not to gain it back.
