I passed the Ugg store the other day and they have a similar pair, but soft and cushy -- you might try those. The only thing was that only one of the cross-straps was gold; the other was a sort of cork finish. They are nicely cushioned and comfortable on my low volume, narrow heeled, average toe box foot. They're ok, comfort-wise, but not great. No padding whatsoever. Once they are on my feet, they seem to show a lot of toe -- like my entire first few toes are peeking out from the toe opening, and I'm used to a little more toe coverage. I have no problems showing my toes, but somehow the look is a little unbalanced, or I feel like my foot might look like it's slipping forward. They'll probably go back.&nbsp;</p> <p>I tried the Clergerie pair (foolishly! good thing they didn't work because they are so expensive, but I couldn't resist), and the fit is weird. I love rose gold and have an old pair of rose gold sandals -- they're these Cole Haan ones in my Finds. I have them in black and in rose gold, and I wore them to death a few years ago but they're still in decent shape. In fact, after I nearly destroyed the finish on my first pair of rose gold ones by walking around some dirty Texas ranch land three years ago, I ordered a second pair and kept the old ones at the ranch. I could use a pair of nice flat sandals that aren't black. It's not a glaring wardrobe hole, but I bet I'd have worn them a lot. Sadly, the back zipper area on the left shoe was really uncomfortable, and I don't want to take the risk.</p> <p>And now I have to pay money to send them back. Grrrr. THIS is why online shopping is such a tease for us non-Americans! </p>
