Yup. That's what you see - but then you see it *all* in NYC :)

Thanks for posting LOP. I'll adapt the look with 1.5 inch heels.

@ MaryK ... that's funny! ;-)

I can appreciate it on others - but it's a look I can't see myself embracing. (As a consummate wearer of high heels, however, I totally understand the crossed legs pose - it feels more comfortable and stable when "at ease.")

I really enjoyed another of his videos on the same site - the all black look. Now *that* I can embrace with both arms, and a little kiss on the nose. LOL.

Yes, this is a very distinct look, and pose! I like it (the look, not the pose), but can't do the 4" heels.

As I looked at that video my first thought was that it was perfect for me as my best feature is my long legs. But I am waaaay to old for most of those looks. Then it occurred to me that though I can't copy the looks I can do what I can to feature my legs. I can wear skinny jeans if they aren't skin tight. So the next challenge is to avoid cutting off that length. I already find I prefer cardis and sweater that come just a little below my waist and that boyfriend jackets or cardis really shorten my legs. But what was most interesting to me was the talk about short booties compared to tall boots. Yesterday I wore a dress with charcoal tights and matching ballet flats during the day and loved the look.Heels would have been nice but I was on my feet all day. It was getting a little cool in the evening so I switched to my boots that come a little below my knees to go to dinner with DH. I used to love that look and last night it seemed like the boots just made my legs look short and stumpy; It's amazing how our eye and sense of what we like changes as fashion changes.

The way I see it, if *I* am wearing ankle booties and tights, then the look has reached the mainstream for sure! LOL

I love it too! I've just recently worked up the guts to start wearing this type of look (just a few though), but I've loved it for a long time. I hope it doesn't go away before I can get more wear out of it

Oh, if I were younger and thinner, I would be all over this kind of look!

Instead I wear my 4" heel boots with knee-length skirts and jeans. I guess since I'm a couple hundred miles south of NYC, it's still fashionable.

Wow -- I thought New Yorkers were generally slightly more conservative with heel heights, given all the walking they do. Apparently not so...

I found this interesting and thought provoking.

"The look that dominates high fashion in New York is a long stretch of leg, ankle boots and a new posture."
