I was just starting to feel my cardigans were getting frumpy- and I guess this thread is confirming it. And when I worked in an office this past year, I would absolutely be driven batty by an 'off' outfit. It usually happened with layering that didn't work- being distracted by weird bunching is the worst. Or maybe the worst is pants that no longer fit well for sitting all day. I was out holiday shopping and got compliments from SAs (Are they told to compliment customers??). The problem piece is an older silk black/white polkadot blouse. It needed more structure and should be replaced. (Forgot my shoes so DH is bringing them from home this afternoon as he had to stay home to meet the contractor. I'm in winter boots.) </p> <p>Problem? I feel frumpy. Cardigans are no longer me. This is something I would have worn by default three years ago. Don't like a full tuck but can't make it work with the cardi otherwise. Too matchy and conservative. My favorite item, the shirt, is mostly hidden. Hate the feeling of lumpy long sleeves layered and scrunched.</p> <p>Lesson learned - always rely on a FFBO when things get rushed! </p>
