The Chelsea Flower Show was also on my bucket list until 3 years ago when I was between jobs and my husband finally gave in to my annual musing on how great it would be to attend. &nbsp;I would suggest you try to visit over two days. However, DH has a regular golf week vacation with 7 buddies and it has always been the second to last or last week of May. 20+ year tradition. We have been to the UK 4 times for a month each time, but never in May. DH just came back from his golf trip, and told me he informed the guys he would be absent next year because - drumroll - he was going to take me to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2020! He doesn't even want to play golf (3 of previous 4 trips!). </p> <p>So, we have quickly sketched out starting our trip in Glasgow with travel to Oban and islands in late April or early May with a 'whiskey tour' and nature trail theme, down the coast and ++ time in Wales (one of our favourite places. Swing down through Bath and Torquay and possibly to Cornwall (to visit a cousin of DH), then double back to London for Chelsea on the 21-22 of May before returning home. </p> <p>Early days. I will need to get my Chelsea tickets when they go on sale in November. </p> <p>Had to share. I will be 60 in late 2020 and plan to celebrate through the whole year. What a gift DH has given me today! </p>
