&#060;p&#062;1. Eat SLOWLY. Put down your fork after every bite. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;2. Eat to 80% full. Small portions. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;3. Eat lean protein at every meal. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;4. Eat tons of veggies. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;5. Reduce starchy carbs and cut way back (or eliminate) processed carbs. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;6. MOVE. As much as you can. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;7. Drink lots of water. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;8. SLEEP. You need a lot of it or losing will be tougher. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;9. If all else fails, adjust expectations, as Manidipa suggests. And go from where you are.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Can absolutely be done on a lower-carb, higher-protein, gentle-walks (NOT vigorous exercise, which will *increase* your appetite, so forget swimming and sprints and aerobics) regimen---but only if you're not already very close to your goal weight. If these are the dreaded 'last 10 lbs', that *will* be harder and slower as you have to push your body to a new set point and it does need longer to adjust to that. In which case, adjust your expectations down to the 'first 5 for now'?

I find it has a lot of American content which is not useful here in Canada, but the visual part of seeing how many calories you are eating during the day - - very useful and enlightening!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;10lbs ago is my ideal size at this age.  5lbs no bouncing is good enough.  i want to get back to fitting, not just cramming myself, into my clothes.  in 6 wks i ave to travel for a week.  i want to bring my best capsule, not just the one that fits.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;i also feel weaker, but this is really erratic exercising after a year of religious thrice a week pilates that encouraged healthy eating so i could last thru the sessions.

&#060;p&#062;I would try cutting out (or way back on) sugar.  It's pretty well proven that it causes fat storage. Any sugar needs to go, carby, white, refined sugar is a fat storage machine. Try to cut some calories, drink a lot of water.  I don't know, how hard do you want go and how crucial is it to lose?  It can be done, but my advice might be different depending on how hard you want to go?
