I knit! Someone asked on my wiw thread how I knit so much plain stockinette without dying of boredom, and the answer is that I do it while watching tv. I can mostly do it without looking, and there are enough breaks for scoring and commercials to do the stuff that requires looking, like changing directions or shaping.

cinnamon Fern- Brilliant! Buttons next but tomorrow it will be in the early a.m. so will probably just drink coffee!

Lyn - skating is wonderful to watch. I just try to ignore the marks :)

Mo- I agree that playing for national pride makes for great games

Freckles and Echo - I actually was amazed I could do two things at once. Shorter duration I am glued to the screen. I too will have to adjust after tomorrow.

I watch so intently that I could never get anything done while the games are on. DH makes fun of me because I sway back and forth while watching slalom skiing! No changes to my wardrobe as a result, although I really love the Russian warm-up jackets with the stylized dragon/gryffin and bird on them, and I love seeing Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinsky commenting on skating because I love to see their outfits! Johnny Weir is just so out-there and I love that NBC appears not to have stifled his creativity in any way.

I will be very sad when the Olympics end. :' (

Mia you are so good getting things accomplished by watching. I can't seem to watch and do anything else at the same time or I miss the big moments...
Wearing red but that is far as the wardrobe thing goes.
I am not friends with any olympian but have met and spoken with about six of the mens hockey players.
Enjoying all of the events but I love the hockey, figure skating and skiing.

I watch off and on. Agree the hockey is awesome. Remarked to the BF and he said it's often better than NHL games, as there are only a few and they put their all into it.
As for knowing Olympians, living in South Lake Tahoe for so many years, there are plenty. 2 gold winners so far.

Always love the Ice-Skating!
This time I recorded 9.5 hours from 8.30pm to 6am and fast-forwarded to the Skating.
We even had 2 Australian participants these games!
Particularly loved the womens #2 and #3 medalists- Korea and USA I think.
I am NOT wearing lycra and leotards as a result though

Mia, you are a genius - I have a stack of buttons to be sewn on and the like which would be a great use for nervous energy during hockey tomorrow morning!

Have been enjoying the Olympics and all the great performances and stories from the participating athletes.

Watching some events is more nerve racking than others so I keep busy with one eye on the tv. So far I have refreshed my whole closet with a steam press and polished all my shoes during two nail biter hockey games.

How do you watch? Any favourite moments so far? Know any Olympians? I have met and chatted with Clara Hughes (commentator at these games). She is beautiful inside and out. Those competition suits are not the most flattering garments!
