Regular cotton jeans don't move around like this.  Lycra also hugs the legs in an odd way too - like I said, these are making my thighs look about 10 times bigger than they need to .  Just ticked off at the whole purchase here.  I bought them thinking they would fill a gap while I was losing weight.  Lesson learned - I don't like jeans with stretch - not flattering .   Thanks Jacki, Suz for the reminder about the hipsi belt. Must check that out. Suz - cats are sleeping on the sunroom furniture - which they love. (I also like the furniture).  Seriously, I get what you are saying about the jeans. So frustrating. They look great in the photo, but it's how they feel. But, I understand your frustration. I hate, hate buying something only to realize after a few wears that it feels wrong after all. GRRRR. For a low-volume belt, you could try Beltaway. I have a few and they are comfy and flat. No heavy buckle. I am not a belt person since I am not a tucker but I do wear a Beltaway with most bottoms just to keep them in position. Then the barbour has this practical elegance about it. "I'm ready for anything." As for liking something and then immediately hating it. I make several attempts do anything and everything. I like the scarf and I think pastels look great under olive, especially on spring days. As you know, I'm all about outerwear and this waxed cotton quilted jacket has been a favourite since I bought it on a whim several years ago.  I used to feel it necessary to wear something vivid or bright underneath so as not to fade into the background wearing olive, but this spring, I'm loving it with pale pastels like blue, yellow, pink, coral etc.   Wore it today with a new blue sweater, horrible jeans, blue print scarf,  and bit-trim loafers. I hate these jeans - and have only had them a short while. Story of my life.  They slip down, and make my thighs look like tree trunks.  Least flattering things I've worn.  But I want dark skinnies! What do you do when you've bought something that felt right , wore it a few times, then hated it??  I hate wasting money this way. I think they are getting tossed when I take them off tonight.  (don't recommend a belt - I don't do belts - cannot afford any extra bulk in the ab area !)   Anyways; jeans - new BR Premium - YUCK sweater -  BR scarf -  Olsen loafers - old Browns Couture jacket - old Barbour for Club Monaco purse - random faux leather bought from hair salon - lol Your comments/thoughts on finding jeans that fit and flatter, and wearing pastels this spring - appreciated and welcomed!  Bonus shots of Puffy and Katie napping all over the sunroom while I was taking pictures.
