@Kathy - Thank you for referring me to the post! The skinnies look like they fit pretty well on the knees - which is pretty much what I need. I've been reading reviews of the Rockstar and they did suggest going up a couple sizes for coloured denim. I'm more of a black/dark denim kind of girl so I found that the 8's fit me. I will look into trying the coloured denims when they go on sale though!

@modgrl - I tried the black one on and they fit heavenly. Super comfy too. The waistband was not too bad though I have to adjust it by adding in another button closer to the zipper fly to avoid any kind of muffin top. Thanks for letting me know that they actually hold up!

@Kelly - Thanks for the photo! (You look ADORABLE btw :)). I would definitely wear skinnies with that fit with my heels and booties. If I had coloured denim, I wouldn't be wearing them with tall boots anyway - I find that it defeats the purpose of coloured denim (it's there to be shown off!). I think I might give the magenta, purple and cobalt ones a shot too!

I don't think I ever wore them with anything except flats or booties but I know how annoying it is to have baggy knees sticking out of boots. These are a bit baggy to start with as you can see. I went up two sizes. I'm usually a 6 at ON and these are 10s. I think 8 might have been better for wearing with taller boots.

I love mine but the sizing varies widely. You really have to try them on! I have the black in a 4P, which is my normal size. I had to size up to 8P in the red. The fabric seems really different on them. The black has a lot of stretch and the red is stiffer, thinner and doesn't have as much stretch. I wear them all the time. They have held up great. I have no complaints.

I have a pair of the rock stars. They do stretch a little by the end of the day. Not too bad though. For $19 (i got mine during their sales), it's a fun, cheap way to get into colored denim.

Here is my post about them:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ay<\a>

I am a short legged rectangle with apple tendencies and I got mine in petite sizing which fit me perfectly. Did have to go up two sizes in them too.

@keruchina - I tried some Levi's jeggings a while back and I found that they cut through my tummy. I wasn't sure if they were the 535's though. I'll see if we have these in Canada and I'll give them a try.

Thanks!

I've had good luck with the Levis 535 jeggings, which are on sale for super cheap ($31) now at Macy's. I'm also a rectangle and have similar fit issues. They don't bag out nearly as much as the Gap Always Skinnys.

Thanks Kellygirl!

That's exactly the fit I'm looking for - doesn't bag out and is not skintight. I normally wear my skinnies with tall boots and I dislike bagging on the knees. Supposedly the RS's stretch out by 1/4" on each side. Is that true?

Mine don't bag but mine are not skin tight either. I have a fair amount of ease in these. I haven't had any trouble with any of my Gap jeans either though--Long and Leans or Perfect Boots. I think RS jeans are a great way to play with colored denim.

The stretching issue: That's what I've heard about Old Navy. They're a lot better about not stretching out than the Gap is, which is why I've been apprehensive about buying Gap jeans.

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't own a pair (despite seriously trying on about 20 of them in the store and from ordering online) because they didn't fit me well. However, I've had good luck with Old Navy jeans. The pairs I've owned have been better about not stretching out than my Gap ones, for example.

Do any of you own a pair? If so, how do they fare? How much does it stretch? Does it sag on the bum/knees by the end of the day?

I tried on a pair earlier today, and while I probably have to add an extra button closure on the waist (to widen the waistline), everything else seems to fit well. As mentioned before, I'm a long-legged rectangle with apple tendencies. I'm still looking for a serviceable pair of skinny jeans (that won't cost me a fortune since I'm on a serious budget).

Thanks!
