I'm growing concerned over dye transfer from the jeans to my shoes.... especially since most of the shoes I want to wear are suede. UGH why do I keep buying suede?!?! Anyway, I will have to research a fix if the jeans fit. The boots I wanted were sold out, so I added a dressy metallic sandal to try, since my only sandals at present are Birks. They weren't a top pick, so I am hoping they are ok in person (I've had hit-or-miss luck with Vince Camuto in the past). Can't wait to wear my High tops with them. I also think the longer, pointy loafers I have will look great, a kind of 70s dandy effect. The only shoe I didn't like with them were sandals. I thought my feet looked too naked with the wealth of fabric around them. And I think they will. Angie showed me how to hem them just to the top of the white part (sole) of the sneaker and I'm going to try on that length with my Blondos and see -- it will not be ground scraping but then it doesn't scrape the ground with the sneakers, either, and still looked flattering (to my eye). It has to do with the proportion of the flare. I really liked these jeans -- can't say enough about them, and they were a complete wild card surprise for me because I have steered away from boot cuts for years.
