I have an old laptop whose hard drive is still fine (though the graphic card is busted) but I do not know if the types match. So I will need to wait for Monday to be able to access online instructions from my work computer on opening both laptops and accessing the hard drives. If they match I may be able to switch them on the spot. Otherwise I will have to order a new hard drive and wait till it arrives.
