Hi MG and good job with your style goals for the month! You got farther than if you had had no goals, right? First, can I say how good you look with a scarf tied around your hair? I have tried that look on numerous occasions, but I just can't seem to get it to work. It's really cute on you.

You look amazing in cobalt and bright blues like in #4 and #9. I love the printed top in 6. As far as #7 and #8 go, trust your intuition I guess. If the teal cardigan is looking worn, it's hard to tell in the pictures. The color of the Eileen Fisher cardigan is so muted that it would be tough for a lot of people to wear. I totally understand wanting to fudge on the color if the quality of something is really high, but every time I compromise, I never feel that great in the item. My sympathies. Otherwise, you have some great cardigans to work with. I look forward to hearing about The Great Purge.

Great job sorting out your cardis, getting rid of some, defining the best use of others, and figuring out what you need to guide future purchases. I'm not a cardi girl because they rarely fit me, but they look great on you! Is it only the color that you question about #7? On my phone it's beautiful on you.
Do you have November style goals? Maybe your TGP or more prep for it?

My October style goal was to evaluate my cardi collection by wearing one every day and deciding which to keep. I didn't come anywhere near to wearing a cardi every day, but I did manage several:

1 Grey 3/4 sleeve cardi, probably 3 years old? This is a keeper, although I think I'm going to put it away with my dresses for now.

2 Linen blend Eileen Fisher Cardi, 2 years old - this only gets worn during the summer, but is a definite keeper too.

3 Heathered navy blue poly cardi - this is a cheapo number from Kohls but gets worn frequently and still looks good after 1.5 years of solid wear, so definitely keeping.

4 Marine blue long poly/silky waterfall cardi, 2 or 3 years old. This doesn't get worn very often, but that's more because it's a transitional season piece due to its weight, and we have very short spring/autumn in this state. Tentative keep, although it may change my mind once I start TGP (The Great Purge).

5 Brown cocoon cardi, 3 or 4 years old. Again, not worn very often b/c I don't wear a lot of brown. But I purged 2 other brown cardis when I was deciding which one to wear this day, so I'll keep this one for now - it's really soft and cozy.

6 Navy blue cardi made of sweatshirt material is at least 5 years old, maybe older. This has been a real workhorse for me and I love its cozy comfort, but honestly, it's getting a bit ragged. It might need to go in TGP, which would make me sad.

7 Lilac/lavender Eileen Fisher cardi, about 2 years old. Although blue is the basis of my wardrobe, I'm not sure I can actually wear this shade of blue ... but it's so beautiful (and expensive) that I can't seem to get rid of it ...

8 Teal cardi, about 6 years old. This was a favorite for quite some time, but has been on the chopping block for the last 2 years, and I've decided it's time to let it go. Thanks and good bye teal cardi!

9 And finally simple long black cardi, about 3 years old - polyester, from Fashion Bug. I'd like to replace this with something similar in better quality, but for now it stays.

SO - 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 stay, 6 and 7 *should* go, but stay for now, 8 goes (as well as 2 brown ones not pictured), and 9 stays until I replace it with a higher quality one. Shoot. I've got to get more ruthless! But truly, the only ones I don't feel good in are 7 and 8 ...
