I'm so glad it was detected early -- treatment at this stage is highly successful! I have no history of BC in my family but still get mammograms every year (and often, ultrasound follow-ups since I have dense breast tissue and I am, as my doctor calls me, a "cyst-maker"!). After my yearly mammogram, and more tests and needles, I have Stage I breast cancer. I'm very lucky in that it's small &amp; slow growing and treatable with surgery &amp; radiation. And that I live in a city with wonderful &amp; skilled healthcare people, and I have healthcare insurance.</p> <p>I debated mentioning it at all here, but decided to in case it encourages someone to get their mammogram that they may have delayed. After years of routine results, this year it literally saved my life.</p> <p>And during the early days of anxiety &amp; fear I could come to Angie's site &amp; lose myself for awhile in the world of fashion &amp; warm hearted fun.</p> <p>I'm fine &amp; contemplating if I need some new warm snuggly "comfort clothes" for the coming months...it's all good. </p>
