They are indeed native to Australia but were also introduced here where they are one of our worst pests and get trapped and hunted. Not to knock those either, just that this is different </p> <p>As for the scar, I know this is much easier said than done but, try not to worry too much about it. It's honestly not noticeable in the photos (at least not to me). I have a deep, dark scar on my hand since I was 2 years old. I used to be really self conscious about it (would try to cover it up with makeup, or would always ask for any mehendi/ henna designs to specifically go over that region). But now I see it as a part of me, &amp; a signifier of a story in my life (I burnt it on pizza lol, which seems silly but at least I can laugh about it now). Doing well on that. 10 new items in 2020, mainly one-in and one-or-two out. 8 of the items this year are bought new by me, one thrifted, one a gift.<br /> We have been lucky enough to have a few occasions as no more lockdowns since late September or so.<br /> 1/2: dressed up for a fundraising screening of The Great Gatsby (2013 film) to renovate a local early 20th century cinema. My best friend lent her great-aunt’s fox fur and she wore the other which is darker. They are real fur which seems to be tacitly accepted here if vintage where the animal would have died decades ago. I have borrowed this one other time. I am in a bit of trepidation showing this.<br /> 3. A wedding of DH’s staff member, held above a beautiful wild beach. The pantyhose are because I had a leg injury with an ugly shin scar I wanted to cover ( can also be seen in pics 1/2 with a sticking plaster on). The scar is still obvious nearly 3 m later :(<br /> I wondered if the fascinator was TMGO but decided what the heck, it was a wedding.<br /> 4. A work or dinner outfit, can’t remember, using new shortsleeved black mesh top. (Don’t like my upper arms much and have too many sleeveless tops, trying not to buy many more).<br /> 5. First holiday for a year, in our other island the South Island. This is after a picnic lunch at a vineyard.<br /> 6. Before going to a ballet matinee of Sleeping Beauty, with my DD2. Her dress is thrifted, good girl. My skirt is long partly to hide the scar still.<br /> 7/8. Ready for a barbecue at some friend’s. The gold/pewter top is new this year.<br /> 9/10. Today, for a walk and grocery shopping. The white cropped pants are new replacing a dying pair from 2017 that had had 68 wears.<br /> 11. Bonus shot of the park where I walked. The red flowers are pohutukawa, our “NZ Christmas tree”.<br /> Thanks for looking and any comments welcome. </p>
