Oh !! I love closet OCD!! Looks amazing!
MY closet is very organized as well, and I am forever puttering with it and tweaking...but my drawers just cried when they saw the beauty of yours!! I must give my drawers some attention!

Rae, yes, it was terrible trying to dig around for just which random hanger would fit which top and if it was a heavy knit, I wouldn't hang it at all! I am not a tiny flower but my shirts just do *not* fit regular sized hangers. I did, after several near miss deliveries due to my move, receive a sample that was 15" across, but it didn't slope enough, so it was no better. I went on a whim with the 15.5" (reading on other blogs they are really 16") to find they slightly vary but are roughly 15 3/4 across. It doesn't sound like much smaller than standard, but makes such a difference! A comparison shot for you (and this is a feather light top).

I think I missed the initial hanger discussion - I assumed the petite hangers were because of a shallow closet, but it looks like the idea is to hang the clothes on the right shoulder curve? Were your old hangers stretching the shoulders?

LOLOL Mo, that is too funny!

Yes, this is a good problem to have! Your scientific hanger hunt is a perfect example. I searched far and wide for my own hangers and the ones I ordered for DH. It's good to know I'm in such good company!!

Ha Jewell!! What a good problem to have, as far as problems go, right? I admit it all started with the hangers. And they were a month long ordeal searching for the right size and shoulder shape. Talking OCD frankly . . . here was me testing what size hangers I needed,15" or 16"? LOL! I got 15 1/2 Thanks for the kudos!

Okay I admit it, I have a problem. I was just a little too excited to see another organization thread from you. But I was so inspired by the first one! Love what you've done with the closet! And I think we have those same hangers in our coat closet : )

Another confession: I'm going to The Container Store tomorrow to get a few things to help organize my accessories. I can barely wait. You'd think I was going to an amusement park- lol

Mo,
Between photographing your ENTIRE wardrobe and putting it up on ClosetCouture, and re-organizing your wardrobe you have been really busy! Now I feel guilty and need to start photgraphing clothing and putting it up there plus getting my closet in order so that I don't feel like such a slob in comparison. Ah....a little guilt is a GOOD thing.

Definitely inspirational. I may have to do a similar exercise this weekend. It can be a dual effort to clean out the old and assess spring wardrobe.

I loved your cardboard support for floppier bags, most of my bags are floppy kind and hence when I store them like yours upright they tend to be so hard to manage. So I am doing just what you did. Loved your idea of pillowcase lining.
Thankyou for the inspiration and new ideas Mo.

Oh this looks great! I will have a go at the cardboard and the big bags - I have a few and used to stuff them with shopping bags but my cupboard is much smaller now... Well done. Christneanne, agree on need to work a system for storing by capsule! Thank you for the inspiration Mo!

Wow, very well done - especially the bag organization! Handbags are always my trouble spot. For a while I used a handbag organizer on the back of my bedroom door; but our current bedroom door is in a narrow hallway opposite my boyfriend's closet, so it's too hard for him to have the purses on the door when he needs to access the closet.

You definitely made good use of your time, Mo.

So I did most of my closet when my new petite hangers arrived last week http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....loset-pics But there were still messy spots that needed attention. Today, it was rainy and windy and a great day to do indoor projects.

I finally folded the sweaters in the drawer (pic 1). Before (pic 2)

And the baskets that hold the gloves, scarves and hats got a once over. The raw basket weave had always snagged on the knits and bugged me. I had an idea to take an orphaned yellow pillow case and cut it in two to line the baskets. Just like the canvas lined ones you see at Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. Worked like a charm. (pic 4). Before (pic 5)

And for the first time EVER, I have bags all lined up in a row. I know, I have a pitiful collection compared to most of you, but they've been stored here and there over the years to where I didn't even know I had the straw crossbody. For two of the floppier ones, I decided a cardboard support between them was all that was needed. (pic 3)

Yes, I've got time on my hands LOL!
