Yes, I bought these almost a decade ago! I remember wearing them for my first half marathon training sessions before I switched to snug running pants. (I’m wearing them in Pic 3, taken on my first day of training in Feb 2011!) Say what you will about LL but their stuff from years ago was clearly made to last. I still have running capris from 9 years ago that are going strong. And I just put a beloved but sadly now too-snug black and white patterned jacket from 2008 into the donation bin.</p> <p>- Amici reptile print cashmere hoodie. I think this dates back to my early YLF time. Maybe 2013? I’ve babied it — careful and infrequent dry cleaning, and somehow it’s one of those items that seems to work on me whether my weight is up or down. And the moths have ignored it too. I think the pattern helps hide any stains or spots, which helps. </p> <p>- H&amp;M black long sleeve layering tee. Probably 6-7 years old. I had left it at the ranch after the first year or two of wear, but decided it would come in handy at home for the winter. </p> <p>- Skechers slip-on sneakers from 2015. I bought these in Miami when I realized the shoes I’d brought to wear in Cuba were giving me blisters. And then I wore them that summer on vacation in Europe and really wore them out. (Pic 2 — you can see I’m wearing them in Amsterdam!) They are so beat up, but they have some new insoles in them, and they’re basically house/yard shoes. I’ll be in and out of the house walking through the yard to the camper this morning so I just want something easy to kick on and off. </p> <p>No makeup and I-woke-up-like-this hair, LOL.</p> <p>Not exactly total fabness but serviceable and not embarrassing when the UPS guy shows up. And proof that sometimes keeping old favorites in the closet is a good idea. </p>
