And the small stud earrings, too. What I like about these pieces is that they complement the boots and jacket very nicely and subtly. I will do jeans, but feel less put together when they bag out at the knees. </p> <p>A solid top or sweater would up the dressiness compared to a graphic tee. Anything with a little sparkle or shine to it is great at the holidays, and your coat would keep it from looking too over the top, if that's a concern. I agree with Dianthus that skinnier-legged pants would work well tucked into these boots. A skirt would also work well. I think a ruched pencil skirt would look great with the boots and the long jacket. (Ruching is just horizontal gathering--i.e., the garment is gathered along vertical seams rather than across a horizontal seam, as in a gathered-waist skirt.) Something like the one I'm showing below, perhaps.
