I sympathize as I have the exact same issue. I loved that the AG coated jeans I ended up buying were actually long enough to have a little scrunch at the ankle! I was wondering why these looked so wide at your ankle, so I just had a look at the item description for these (they are the ones in the YLF store, right?) and it says the leg opening is 13" which I would call a straight leg, not a skinny. The wider opening makes the short length a lot less OK, I think, because when it's narrower it is closer to your ankle and doesn't make such an obvious horizontal line. (Angie had the same opinion, I believe.) They are meant to hit at the ankle but I don't like the look. For example, the W&amp;W brocade skinnies are 31" inseam, which is just barely long enough for me with no scrunch; I prefer 32" so I get some scrunch. BUT, I decided I don't really care since I pretty much only wear boots and booties in the winter.
