You are all so wonderful, taking your time to look and respond! Thank you all so much. I am feeling more confident and will not bother you with all my packing issues ;-)

I will leave the cream silk blouse#10-11 for sure, and maybe #6 too. Tonight I'll start packing and see how much space I've taken up in my suitcase before removing more items.

I'd suggest both black tops for practicality --- the first looks more trendy and is way more versatile for dressing up and down, but after all it's wool and may prove too warm for layering perhaps? So bring the other black too.

Also take the starry blue.

Of the rest, I'd take the sleeveless silk with the draped front and the shimmery cotton which you can layer with, as JJ said, and which looks like it could readily go from day to night.

You could stop there, but the T in #6 looks like it would scrunch down to nothing, so why not bring that too for variety?

I agree with the others that white that requires ironing is a little too high maintenance, unless you intend to use hotel laundry service which is great, but pricey. The first 5, however could travel well. I think the second black top is more versatile than the first (although I love the first top's cheeky style).

DItch anything that MUST be ironed. I love 1-2, 5 and then ONE of the white tops. I'm leaning toward 12 because you can layer over or under.

I'm no great help here, but maybe leave out the white ones? White is hard to keep clean when traveling, and then after that I'd leave out the ones that will need pressing when you get there. People wear a lot of black in NY (I think) so definitely take at least two black tops.

Sorry to bother you with my packing again... Hope you can bear with me

I'm trying to narrow down the number of items and think I can do with less than the 8 tops I've picked out because I'll be packing 4 cardis + 4 dresses + camis (which could work as top under cardi or blazer).
Which are the best and which should be left behind? Versatility is key.

4 bottoms will be: charcole pencil + brown linnen skirt + denim shorts + charcole skinnies

#1-2 Blue stars
#3-4 Black sleeveless, wool
#5 White sleeveless, silk
#6 Snakeish print
#7 Black 3/4 sleeve
#8-9 White breezy cotton, 3/4 sleeve
#10-11 Cream, soft blouse, silk
#12-13 White, shimmery soft blouse, cotton
