If black works for you in more ways than nude, then nude could play a secondary role to a black pair, but is unlikely to work solo. I wouldn't be fond of lots of cold , wet city walking in light colored shoes and since I wear almost exclusively dark pants when I travel, I prefer to minimize contrast in footwear. This is largely because even my "super cool" AGL Euro sneakers are never my desired focal point.
