I love patent shoes, including nude patent. I can't wear patent because it doesn't stretch the way regular leather does on my wide feet but I would if I could.

I really like the color Ingunn. I think they will go well with your skin tone and have a great leg lengthening effect because of the all skin tone leg/shoe. I think they look great too and would go well with your wardrobe. And it sounds like they are comfortable!

I think they'll be great for you! I love patent to dress up a (usually) casual loafer a little bit. I have a pair in camel patent and love how they do that. I hope yours turn out comfortable as well as cute

I think they are awesome. My earlier response got eaten by cyber space But your plan for the brogues and loafers sounds really great for spring and summer.

I have a nude patent pair of wedges that I bought on a whim a few years ago. They get the most wear of any of my shoes during the summer. A complete and utter surprise to me. If you are already comfortable wearing a lighter shoe (these seem a bit light for a true nude), then I know you are going to love (underscore underscore) these!!! Definitely buy!

Thanks, everyone! This sounds very promising. I've had a chance to try the Clarks oxfords, too, that I asked about in another post. My gut feeling tells me that white brogues is a lot of white patent, while these loafers are more within my current style and comfort zone. But I adore the mushroom colored oxfords which look much more RATE on the web pictures than IRL (the distressing is not prominent at all). They are fab, in my opinion:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-which-one

I'm thinking that if I buy one pair of loafers and one pair of brogues, I'll have all the variety I need in spring/summer light shoes. My current shoe collection already includes heels and ballet flats in a light color, and I'm not very keen on nude patent heels at the moment - don't know why, really, but I don't like them on me! If I order these two pairs together, I'll save on postage and import fee, so that will make the purchase a very good deal compared to retail prices locally.

I'm with Nancylee - I wear my nude patent shoes with everything in spring and summer (especially the bright colored outfits). I love the comfort of Clarks, I like the style of these and I just got some nude patent peep toe pumps from them and they are definitely nude to me. That said the tan would also be neutral. I don't know if leg lengthening or neutral is your goal. Flat shoes rarely elongate the leg line (or is it just because I have such huge feet?)
I much prefer nude shoes in patent - non patent tend to make me think of that fable about the shoemaking elves using human skin - not to mention Silence of the Lambs. Sorry if I've ruined it for the rest of you now.

Nice! I would go with the patent leather, it adds some dressiness, textural interest and is better in wet weather. Love Clark's for their usual high comfort and long lasting quality.

Pretty shoe, and Clark's are usually comfortable day long. Will probably look best with skirts, and light coloured pants, or short pants that show a bit of leg.

I have a pair of nude patent loafers and have been amazed at how often I reach for them...especially during spring and fall, when the weather is between hot and cold and neither boots nor sandals are appropriate.

I'd get them. I don't know how on trend they are, but they certainly are lovely and classic. They will be very useful!

I am not sold on nude patent. I think the point of nude is for it to blend in and extend the leg line. Not sure you get that with patent unless you have really shiny skin. That said, those are fun Clark's loafers.

Thumbs up. I like the color and shape of these. The vamp isn't as high as some loafers. To me that makes them easier to wear with skirts.

What do you think of this loafer? Is it on trend & versatile? I'm looking for a light closed toe, flat spring shoe that goes with both skirts and pants.
