Ah, good to get feedback from a "larger" size, isablue. Thanks! I'm seeing these kind of bras in many places now, even at Target. I wonder how the Target version would work.

I have a bra that's just like NuBra, except a different brand (a knockoff, I'm sure). I think it works pretty well, and I'm a 34D! My "NuBra" size is a large, the biggest they had.

I've worn it to special occasions, with backless dresses, so far no complaints. But I wouldn't wear it all the time, for two reasons: one is that I don't trust that glue in contact with my skin for hours everyday, every week (might give me rash or something) and secondly because I live in a really warm weather, and I sweat a lot, so I agree that the bra might start to come loose if worn for many hours on those conditions.

But it's worked perfectly so far for special occasions.

Heh, that's funny that Gap was selling a NuBra! I wonder if the current one on the website is also a NuBra Ultralite--great sale price. I will definitely check on the return policy.

So I wore my Gap bra tonight for an event - guess what brand it REALLY is? NuBra! the box says NuBra Ultralite. When I was at Gap Body several years ago, a saleswoman said she thought that the bra could be returned if it didn't work, but I don't know... I'd hate to purchase an adhesive bra that had already been "tried on"... not the same as a regular bra! Check around and make sure you can return something if it doesn't work for you.

I too am in the market for a good strapless bra to wear with some summer tops and dresses. I'm a 32C too, Angie and have a hard time finding that size at all especially in stores. Any suggestions on where to look and what brands to consider? The NuBra looks intriguing, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a band.

LauraElizabeth -- yes, that info helps a lot! Sounds like the bra worked out well for you.

Angie -- hm, I am a 34C and don't think of myself as busty, so as you say, I need to give it a bash!

Thanks, ladies. To LE's point these work on a small cup size. I wear a 30C or 32C and am by no means busty, but they don’t hold me in shape. CC, you need to give it a bash and see how you feel :0)

I can usually wear it up to 12 hours. The only thing that will shorten that time is if it is incredibly hot and the sweat can start to loosen the adhesive. I think the last time I washed the bra was in November, right before I went on a Caribbean cruise. I wore the bra almost every day for a week for varied hours depending on dress and activities. Since I got back, I've only used it for special occasion dresses, or when my other bras were still wet from washing. It could probably use a wash to refresh the adhesive, but it still works great after all that time. Does that help?

Angie -- something like:
http://www.nubra.com/NuBra_Seamless.htm
or
http://www.nubra.com/NuBra.htm

LauraElizabeth -- Hm, I never knew the Gap had one! I will definitely have to check that out. So the bra does stay on with the adhesive for a long time? How often can you use it before the adhesive loses its stickiness?

I wear a 32A size bra, and when I need to break out a top or dress where I don't want bra straps to show, I use Gap Body's adhesive backless bra: http://www.gap.com/browse/prod.....pid=308848

I think it is very similiar to NuBra's Seamless product ( http://www.nubra.com/NuBra_Seamless.htm ), but I've never had a NuBra before.

Gap's bra is made of two molded cups with an adhesive that lines the entire cup, not just the edges, which is why I like this better than other kinds I have tried. A small clasp in the center is easy to use, and depending on where you place the cups you can create more or less cleavage.
The adhesive is unlike any tape or lingerie adhesive I had used before (including duct tape... which was a poor, adolescent decision made in absence of a real backless bra for a prom dress... ouch!). It seems almost like a sticky gel, which is easily removable. I can wear them several times before I need to wash them, which I do by hand in my bathroom sink with simple hand soap.

So the thread about bra straps had me wondering: for those of us who can wear backless/strapless bras, what are good brands to consider? I am intrigued by the NuBra, in particular, and was wondering whether anyone had first-hand experience with it.
