For instance, I really want a cozy v-neck navy sweater—a very simple one and with a tailored fit. I also want a midi fit-and-flare-type skirt made out of a wool blend. So I'm content just looking for those items, because I know that they will do what I want them to do in my closet. I think a shopping pause can refresh how we look at what we own and get us out of old habits of browsing and shopping mindlessly. But changes in habits can also feel strange and reveal a transitioning identity, a new self who wants to focus on other things. If its just an inspiring time to shop, new items will appear and you will feel the call. If it's an identity shift, maybe you are looking to grow in some other way, since you are, at least in my eyes, clearly a style ninja. I still pine over the Band of Outsiders blazer. I really just don't know.</p>
