I think you did, Rachy. That painting above the dresser was destroyed in the fire .
Barbara - yes, I am definitely thinking white or light wood. Unfortunately, I won't have any time for more projects, but adding feet is a good suggestion.

I love your dresser and painting. I think an injection of something modern with a nightstand is a good idea. Did I ever say that I liked the bench for the sitting room?

I can't suggest stores, but maybe something that picks up the white or the light wood? Also, if you find something you like that is too short, maybe add feet? There are usually different styles you can add. Good luck.

The living room is slowly getting sorted, with the couch, coffee table, bench, and some dining chairs all being delivered this week. Now I'm working on the bedroom.
My new duvet cover came this week, and I love it!(pic1) It's more brown overall than shows in the picture, and not as purple.
My antique dresser (pic 2) is a little worse for wear, but I am going to fix it and use it. The vanity is also getting re-used (pic 3). I will be hanging my collection of silhouettes in the bedroom, and adding a gray sheepskin rug. I'm still looking at curtains.
Now I need to find new nightstands- something that has at least one drawer of storage, is 28"-30' tall and no wider than 24". Any suggestions of specific tables or stores to check? As you can see, the mix of styles in here is pretty eclectic, so anything kind of unusual would probably fit. I was looking at mid-century style nightstands, but they all seem too short.
