Real Simple make flocked hangers hold onto anything, and you can get little flocked clips to pop on them so they convert into skirt hangers. They are awesome and only $30 for 50 hangers (or something ridiculously cheap like that) from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I like to have my hangers match. Even when the rest of my life is in disarray I can be comforted by the fact that my hangers match.

I used to do all the same kind of hangar but started needing special ones for smaller tops, etc. like you are describing. So I now have half a dozen hangars that don't match the rest but work for their particular article of clothing. Better for me to have some mismatches and shoulders that aren't stretched out, than all the same hangar and warped clothes!

PS if you wanted to start all over, I think Joy Mangano (sp?) does smaller hangers with felt like texture to grab slippery fabrics as well.

I've done so much folding and ironing in the past two days, I'm now totally up to date, but I'm still left with an enormous pile of leftover coat hangers.

So, who wants to join me in a November challenge to get their coat hangers under control?

I'm pretty sure that between all the ones left over, and the ones in my wardrobe, I have enough that I could have all my clothes on a single style!

The only catch I have is that I find a lot of my tops are too small for regular coat hangers, so I pinch the kids hangers for my tops LOL Although, I'm pretty sure my girls are in a similar situation and have loads of extra hangers so perhaps it can be a whole of house challenge and I can use their matching ones and give them the odds and ends (they wont notice - I'm the only one who likes things super matching and organised in my family!!!).

Actually how do other delicate-shouldered lasses deal with the problem of tops being too small for traditional hangers??

I'm going to try and remember to take a before and after picture - but I can't wait to get rid of all the mismatched ones and surplus hangers! (I will keep a small stash of *extras* though).

Anyone else wanting to join in?
