Just came across this forum. Little bit late - the last response was about a year ago, but anyways - I can totally relate (are all women the same?): overflowing closet with nothing to wear. My relationship with clothes was tough - I used to shop a lot - all those must-haves, sales - tons of clothes, but nothing to wear!!! crazy! - I had never felt put-together. But then I started doing my research, reading bloggers and e-books, and I even took an e-course (the best $50 I have ever spent) about finding your personal style and how to create a closet that will always work. I learnt that being your own stylist was not hard at all! It is not an overnight transformation; it takes some work (fun work) and time, but worth it! I now know exactly what to shop for and what clothes are even worth of my attention (the truth is it's a very small percentage), I buy high quality pieces that I LOVE (and spend less than before), and I can decide what to wear within a minute. I used to hate changes of seasons, I used to even hate to go out. Now, I am looking forward to it! because I feel great, I love to receive compliments on my look. The main point is that with proper information, little training and practices, it can be so effortless to dress well with minimal amount of clothes (I am a big fan of capsule wardrobe).

Also take a look at forum members posting pictures of their outfits and see who clicks with you in style and body type - most of my learning is done that way!

Hi Angie, Thank you. I am 5ft 7, now a Uk size 8/10 on the bottom and 10 on top. I was 12-14 on bottom and 14 on top. I beleive I had an hour glass figure and possibly a short waist. My measurements are 33/27/35 now.

Hi Suz, I shall go and have a look at the Mum-on-the go you mention. Thank you.

Welcome! We are here to help.

You might want to start by looking at some of Angie's ensembles for Mum-on-the-go. They are typically casual and easy to adapt.

Welcome, lou lou. I'm 45 so we're close in age.

Perhaps you can tell us a little more about your body type - and I take it that you work at home, or are a stay at home Mum?

Hello, I am after some advice I have lost nearly 2 stone and as I have been getting out some warmer clothes I now have nothing that fits me and I don't know where to start, I love the smart casual look and am lucky to be able to wear this for work too, being a self employed childminder. I don't know what to wear that is going to be flattering as I am proud I have lost this weight and don't want to lose this under baggy and shapeless clothes but am not sure what direction to go in that is practicable, not too young for my age (43), able to layer up to keep warm as I am in and out all day long, suffeer from Raynauds too and can still look good. Any tips would be welcome. I am currently wearing a dark blue pair of relaxed skinny jeans and navy 3/4 sleeve jumper with short boots.........
Thank you!
