Thanks for all the suggestions! Looks like I have a lot of options to keep my eyes peeled for. That’s great, because I don’t think a long cardi is as simple as it sounds.

The fleece looks a little bit warmer color wise than the vest, more blush, while the vest looks like a true pale pink. They might look "off" right next to each other because of that teeny difference.

I only have a handful of blush/pink items, but my favorite things to pair them with are:
a) navy/black and white -- and you could easily throw cobalt or sky blue into that mix if you wanted more colour.
b) olive/fatigue/camo colour -- I like the juxtaposition. Cream/white and dark brown would be easy additions here.
c) a tonal approach with burgundy and rust. This approach always makes me wish I had cognac or other warm-toned shoes (but I've been relying on burgundy boots, which are more versatile overall that tan or cognac would be for me).

HTH!

I have one pair of dark brown jeans and it is difficult to work with. Especially with grey in one's hair. You might try wearing white or pale grey with them. White may also work with the skirt pattern. Black or navy could also with both.

Sorry to contradict myself here, but the pink and brown lookgood together, to my eye. So that’s a pastel and a muted colour. I guess the thing is that one is light and one is dark, so they don’t compete. Whereas with the beige and pink, they are both light, so compete.

Or something like that

I would wear spring colours with the puffer/cardigan (pastels) and fall colours with the brown (brown, beige, taupe, burgundy, etc).

To be more precise, I think clear colours will work with your pinknitems. “Clear” meaning the absence of black (which makes the colour muted).

The sweater that you’re wearing under the puffer looks light-beige to me, which makes it a fall colour.

Dark brown is a little tough to suggest colors for, for me. One can easily skew a look urban (pair with bright colors, black) or earthy (pair with muddy colors) and many people seem to have strong thoughts on color pairings they are/aren't comfortable with (way more than other neutrals). To me it's simply a neutral and can be paired with almost anything!

I’m usually on here on my phone, which is why I’m lazy about using bold for people’s names—way too many keystrokes.

They are rich dark brown. The light must’ve been reflected weirdly in this pic. On my screen, the bottom is very bright, but the part closet to the other material is more true. But I don’t think that’s how it is on your screen—nothing looks grey here. The pic today with the vest is probably most accurate.

Wow did the color of those photograph differently! Would you say they're closer in color to the outfit post (which looks like a darker brown to me) or like in this detail here (which looks like a light silvery gray to me)?

As for the link, in the forum post composition window at the top is a little bar with some formatting options. The little chain link allows you to add links to text you've selected.

The very same :). Also in this post, in which I assumed the booties with heels would not work. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....t-footwear

Btw, how do you code a link the way you did there?

By “light pattern”, do you mean the bottom one? That’s the pants I had on today.

I like your contrast suggestions. I have plenty of cream, black, and navy (it’s actually navy in the skirt pattern). A coordinating light color sounds good. (I was thinking of forest green, but was afraid the overall effects would be too dark)

Not sure which pattern is which, but the light pattern looks like it'll read as a neutral so should pair with all kinds of colors. If you like to keep color pairings warm-warm or cool-cool then that's something to keep in mind with that one.

The easiest pairings for the red pattern would be any of the accent colors that are in the print itself: black, white, and the orangey-brown color. Denim blue and natural brown leathers would also be a slam dunk. And if you want color contrast mint, pale blue or cobalt could be fun.

This fleece cardigan is so soft, I could forgive it for being made of polyester, but I've just realized that when I layer it under my pale pink puffer vest, the cardi looks grimy. I can get things dirty on my own, so this is not a look I need to buy.

What other colors could I wear with both items in the photo (separately--one is a skirt & the other is pants)?
