I can relate to your situation right now in many ways. I lost momentum on the "fashion" thing because there are other hobbies that are occupying my time heavily right now: The cakepops and home designing. Plus, I started paying for my daughter's college and I simply don't have the money to spend on clothes. I do try to keep up with the "off topic" section but I know I missed a lot. I wish I had the capacity to handle all of my life changes right now while continuing with my regular participation in the forum, but I don't seem to be able to. In other words, I can comiserate. I think hobbies change for many people. Some are lifelong and some are not. some are periodic. I used to write a foodie blog, yet for the last year have hardly felt inspired at the stove. and this is how it is for now. I still eat and cook and you still get dressed. Getting dressed or shopping for clothing has felt like a chore for a very long time. I wondered if it had to do with depression in winter, but even last summer and this spring-when I'm feeling very mentally healthy and enjoying life-it just doesn't do it for me anymore. I've hardly bought anything clothing wise since early last fall (and that's not a bad thing-the few things I did buy, I love!) but even shopping for worn out necessities (boots, jeans, bras, shoes) makes me want to groan. I still dress in fallback outfits that I think look okay and that I get compliments on, but the joy and fun has gone out of it. Though most of my YLF inactivity has been due to lack of time, I don't feel like I have much to contribute to anymore in the main blog/forum sections of the site. I window-shop and Pinterest online, but most of the new trends don't inspire, and I don't feel like I'm particularly creative. I do miss my online friends here.
