Following with interest, since I'm in the market for similarly lightweight water shoes (especially for travel) but don't have suggestions myself (I actually just continue to wear my Hush Puppies Bodyform sandals into the water, but shhh lol. They actually work surprisingly well, since the velcro keeps everything in place, but they aren't made for this).

Carla would shout at me if I wore those on a bike! I may not be able to double duty them. Really I want my old cushy Nikes back, but think they're not available anymore UA has similar looking ones though...

Suntiger, when boating, I usually wear my Sperry Topsiders. They have proven themselves to handle the steepest ramps and the rockiest shores. Like you, I remove them when on the boat.
I recently bought a pair of Croc Swiftwater sandals for the beach and have found them to be very secure for getting in and out of boats, kayaks and canoes. I am not sure how they would work for pedaling.

Oh I don't stand on the SUP with shoes on! They're just for getting in into the water. Some of the landings are rocky or muddy so not nice to walk with bare feet!

I use sneakers for cycling in the most part (will wear sandals at the beach). I have always SUP in bare feet.... maybe that is where I am going wrong haha!

Oh no Carla I don't wear flip flops for cycling, just trainers. They're hot and make me unhappy, but I don't want to hurt my feet and be out of commision either.

You are freaking me out, suntiger. DO NOT wear sandals or flip flops for cycling. EVER! A cycling friend ripped up his foot so bad he required a hospital visit and 6 weeks to recover. No running. No swimming. No biking.

I was looking at similar to those actually. Some "sandals" essentially look like slightly more open trainers, which isn't what I want. The goal is to just use trainers in the winter if possible

Depending on the wind/heat/humidity I ride 1-2 hours.

I’ve been wearing my Tevas when I’ve been on bike rides lately. Mind you, these are rides of less than an hour. These sandals might be called clunky, though.

Oh interesting, LaP — my Chacos are a flip-flop style and not a very pronounced arch (my arches are average so I can’t tolerate too much arch in a footbed). I don’t see my exact model on their website, but they are a few years old, from REI, i think.

I've always liked Chacos; the Vibram outsole is good in and out of water. They have a pretty serious arch, though, which I used to be able to tolerate but can't anymore, so I switched to Bedrock Sandals, which are more minimalist but still have excellent traction. https://bedrocksandals.com/col.....als-lineup

You might like Astral too: they make paddling-crossover shoes, so they look like casual shoes but have good grip on wet surfaces and excellent drainage. Mostly closed toe, but I think they have a sandal option that looks like a flip-flop but has a removable back strap to make them more secure.
https://www.astraldesigns.com/shop/footwear/womens

I bought these Nike Celso Girl sandals to replace my nice soft cushy Nike sandals that tore after 2 years of use. But I learned the hard way this afternoon, they are definitely not boat shoes. Veeery slippery when wet and the thongs feel much more precarious than the last ones. Fine for walking or on a flat landing, but not for a steep sloped boat ramp :(

So- I had been thinking of getting sandals I can also cycle in, and often the sport sandals are listed for both. I'm not using my clip in pedals, just flat ones for now. Anyone done this?

For SUP I just use them while getting in and out of the water, then take them off and tuck them under the ropes. Still I'd want them to be pretty minimalist, not clunky.
